School, Pre School & Nursery Events
It is my personal mission to get as many books into the hands of children while promoting the fun of reading to develop a life-long love of books which in turn, will open up a world of opportunities in their future. I offer a range of hassle-free events for the children to enjoy without touching any of the school or nursery budget.
Usborne will also donate up to 60% of the total event value raised in
FREE BOOKS to the school, or Nursery. So, for every £600 of books purchased/raised, the school/nursery will get £360 in FREE Usborne books!

Sponsored Read or Listen
Ready Steady Read & Ready Steady listen
Every penny raised from a sponsored listen/read is used to buy books for your library/reading corner or Christmas/Birthday presents or even leaving gifts for the children (completely up to you). Our books are suited to all ages from ages 0 to young adult.
I arrange the entire event and provide sponsorship forms, reading logs personalised to your nursery or school, certificates acknowledging each child’s personal achievement, bookmarks and even an explanatory letter to you parents, asking for their support with the sponsored read.
Children are sponsored to do as much as they can within a given time defined by the school or nursery. Whether it’s in school hours at home, during the holidays. All the children can spend some time being read to by an adult or even an older sibling. they can listen to a book, comic, magazine, newspapers, menus….. anything at all.
Book Fair
A book fair can be in person where visit your school with a range of Usborne books suited to the attending pupils our range covers early years up to key stage 5. The book fair can either take place in school hours or out of school hours and I can help guide the pupils to a book or a range of books they might enjoy. I will plan with the school or nursery the best time for the fair to take place, provide letters for parents and will receive and process the book orders on behalf of the school; so no added admin for anyone. The only thing that would need to be done by the school or nursery is to choose which FREE amazing books you would like to receive! Pupils love to choose the books to have in their settings, this makes the event more memorable and rewarding them.
Schools and nurseries can also opt for a virtual book fair if they desire, in which I will provide; letters for the parents explaining the event, leaflets and also an online catalogue link for the pupils to choose their books from.
Author Event
What better way to bring books to life than with the author who has written them? Inspire young minds to be creative and arrange an author event with your school.
Usborne offer suitable authors from KS1 up to KS5, I will arrange everything from booking the author up to pre ordering the books for the event. An Author event can be either virtual or in person with costs starting from just £80 +VAT.
